Colombian Classics We Serve at Empanadas Factory
Our Colombian menu stays close to the source. Everything on it is something you’d find at a good spot in Bogotá or Medellín – adapted for Jacksonville, made fresh daily.
Picada Colombiana – The Sharing Platter
Colombian chorizo, papa criolla, yuca, tostones, fries, chicken, and beef – all on one plate. The Picada is the kind of dish that makes a table of four quiet for about ten minutes. It’s our most popular order for a reason.
Arepa Colombiana
A grilled corn cake filled with melted cheese and shredded beef. Gluten-free, filling, and the closest thing to what your Colombian neighbor’s grandmother makes. Simple ingredients, no shortcuts.
Empanadas Colombianas
Five mini fried empanadas, corn-based dough, beef and potato filling. Served with hot sauce. Also gluten-free – made the Colombian way, not the shortcut way. These are the ones people drive from Mandarin and Orange Park to get.
Ají Colombiano
Every Colombian table has a jar of ají – the tangy, herbaceous sauce that ties everything together. Ours comes on the side. Add it to everything. You’ve been warned.
Tostones Rellenos
Three green plantain cups stuffed with shredded beef. Street food done right, and one of those dishes that disappears before anyone at the table realizes it.
Why Empanadas Factory Is Jacksonville’s Best Colombian Food
There are a few Colombian spots in Jacksonville. What sets us apart isn’t a single dish – it’s the consistency. The empanadas come out crispy every time. The Picada is the same generous plate whether you order it on a Tuesday or a Saturday night.
We’re also not pretending to be something we’re not. The menu is Latin fusion – Colombian at the core, with Peruvian and Argentine dishes that earned their place because they’re genuinely good. You’ll find Lomo Saltado from Peru next to Choripan from Argentina next to Colombian empanadas. Jacksonville doesn’t have another spot quite like this.
People find us and keep coming back – the reviews and photos speak for themselves. That’s the only metric that matters.
